Lovable Cloud's database service provides managed Postgres with auto-generated schemas from plain-language descriptions and a UI for managing data without SQL. Available in three hosting regions with instance scaling.

How it works
The database is one service inside the managed backend, not a product bought separately. It is provisioned with the rest of Lovable Cloud and shares its region, auth, and functions.

Turning on the managed backend creates the Postgres instance alongside storage, auth, and serverless compute. There is no separate database to connect or credential to paste.
Lovable CloudSchemas come from a plain-language description
Tables, columns, and relationships are generated from a description of the data rather than hand-written DDL, then edited afterwards like any other schema.
Rows are managed in a UI, not a SQL console
Reading, editing, and deleting records happens through the data UI, so routine changes do not require writing a query.
It sits in the region the project picked
Americas, Europe, or Asia Pacific, chosen once at the project level. That choice is what makes EU data residency answerable.

Compute for the instance can be resized as the workload grows instead of being fixed at provisioning time.
Cloud Instance ScalingServer-side writes go through functions
Anything that must not run in the browser — webhooks, payment handling, scheduled jobs — reaches the database from serverless compute instead of the client.
