Gemini Embedding 2 is Lovable's AI Models feature: Gemini Embedding 2 is the default for search and recommendations.
Lovable now uses Gemini Embedding 2 whenever it builds semantic search, recommendations, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) into your app. It handles images, audio, video, and PDFs as well as text, where the previous default, Gemini Embedding 001, handled text only. Your existing features keep working: Lovable still uses Gemini Embedding 001 for tables that already store its vectors.
